A little bit about us

We’re sisters, Nic and Laura, and together we are Hazel Copy – a writing team of two. We love to collaborate with creative, curious, compassionate people, helping them to grow and thrive.

Our story so far

After both studying English literature and language (with a side of social history for Nic) at university, Laura went on to write for design agencies and education providers, whereas Nic spent years immersed in the world of gardening writing about roses for David Austin.

The constant in both our lives has always been books, books and more books – as well as a love for wildlife and nature, nurtured by our outdoorsy parents. On becoming parents ourselves, and the welcome shift in perspective that came with it, it felt only natural to joins forces and meld our professional experiences with our enduring interests – all through the prism of raising little humans.
